Our March paper has all you need to know about reminiscing about our Sew Good Showcase and our upcoming Ramadan events. We always welcome new recruits, and you can find out more on how to become a volunteer by looking at our Join Us page.
Showtime!
We held our exclusive showcase on Saturday, selling some of the items our incredible service users made during the Sew Good sessions.
We invited people from the local community to join us in celebrating our Sew Good Moments but also to donate to Palestine.
With good food, good company, and an assortment of things to choose from, we were thankful to everyone who attended.
We had a stall to sell the service users’ creations including aprons, scrunchies, make up bags, and cushions.
The lovely volunteers also set up a station to create personalised key chains!
A big thank you to our volunteers who ran their own stands — Akbaar Islamic Gifts and the henna stand were such big hits!
The Showcase was a huge effort and thanks to the teams at Inara Project that worked together to execute it, it was a huge success.
Of course, we wanted to support the Ummah in Palestine who are suffering. All proceeds from the event will be used to support them especially as we head into Ramadan.
Ready for Ramadan
In a few weeks, Muslims across the world will fast in the month of Ramadan.
This year, Inara Project is bringing back some of our amazing Ramadan events, and introducing exciting, new events to look forward to.
16th March - An online social, inviting women to learn more about Islam and increase their faith.
23rd March - Our ever popular Iftar at Poole Mosque. Feel free to bring a side dish, the main meal will be provided.
30th March - We’re hosting an Eid card decorating workshop for displaced children internationally.
13th April- Celebrating Eid as a community and socialising with each other during a local get together/dinner.
We look forward to Ramadan every year, and we appreciate all the support from the community in making sure every event is special and helping to uplift the community.

Fun in Fundraising
During Ramadan, we’ll be fundraising to help Inara Project go full steam ahead with events for next year.
Remember when our volunteers ventured outdoors to camp? Whilst they won’t be doing that again, we have planned an incredibly exciting new fundraising activity we’d love for everyone to get involved with.
Our fundraising efforts go towards resourcing for our upcoming projects to provide services for the community.
Details will be revealed soon, but volunteers might want to get their wet suits at the ready, *hint hint*.
Aside from our mystery activity, our volunteers will be opening their own fundraising pages as well as running their own activities.
Be on the look out for fun-runs and baked goods sales!

Volunteering for Inara Project
Over the past three years since we’ve begun as a non-profit charity organisation, so many Dorset local residents, and even people from further out, have volunteered with us.
Now, we have different departments where all our wonderful volunteers can work together to plan, budget, advertise, and create the projects and events we hold across the year.
From Sew Good to our Ramadan events, from our socials to our Refugee campaigns — we inspire to uplift everyone we can in the community.

Inara Project is always looking for volunteers to join us. We’ve grown so much these past years and we’ve achieved unbelievable things.
From the community kitchen to being on TV and radio, there’s really nothing we can’t do!
We have different departments with each team dedicated to helping us grow as well as uplifting the community and providing leadership opportunities for young women.
Some of the roles available include:
Marketing Volunteer — creating/posting content for our socials
Project Delivery Volunteer — ensuring the smooth running of our events
Video editor — editing videos taken by volunteers for media purposes
