Sew Good: The Finale

This weekend, our Sew Good project came to end with service users creating [xyz].

This project started all the way back in January, and we knew we wanted to start something which would bring together vulnerable women from different backgrounds and show them how to learn a new skill in a supportive and nurturing environment.

One Saturday a month, the service users learnt new techniques for cutting, sewing with a machine, and using different stiches to create the most wonderful things.

From make-up pouches and scrunchies, to pillows and aprons; the possibilities seemed endless.

And, with their new skills, we hope our service users will leave feeling like they have gained a new experience, made lifelong friends, and know that they will always be supported by Inara Project and the local community.

And let’s not forget the little ones who got creative during the creche service too!

We want to thank everyone who got involved with the project. Our volunteers from each of our teams who worked together to create and sustain a project this big, the local community for donating materials, textiles, and sewing machines, and to our partners: The Old School House (TOSH).
